Ordinary capsules cannot be easily recycled because they are made from a mixture of plastic and aluminum, the complexity of the packaging - often a mix of different materials - in combination with the remains of organic waste of unused ground coffee on the bottom of the pod makes it difficult to process them in standard municipal recycling plants. Many coffee cup producers offer special collection services where they promise that they can recycle your cups. But that only solves the problem a little bit! And that while coffee pulp works very well as a fertilizer. Your plants will grow fantastically: you don't want to throw that away!
